Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most iconic safari destinations, located in southern Kenya near the border with Tanzania. The park is world-famous for its large herds of free-ranging elephants and the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, which creates some of the most photographed safari scenes in the world. Amboseli features diverse habitats, including open plains, acacia woodlands, swamps, and seasonal lakes that support a wide variety of wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and over 400 bird species. The park’s swamps, fed by underground water from Kilimanjaro’s snowmelt, attract elephants and other animals year-round, making wildlife viewing especially rewarding even during dry seasons. Visitors enjoy game drives, photography safaris, birdwatching, and cultural interactions with the Maasai community living around the park. Its breathtaking scenery, rich wildlife, and excellent visibility of animals make Amboseli National Park a must-visit safari destination in Kenya.
