Full-Day Safari, Nairobi National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Nairobi airport by your professional guide in a 4x4 safari Land Cruiser. You will drive to Nairobi National Park, located just a few minutes from the city center, and enter the park for a game drive as the wildlife is most active in the cool morning hours.

Once inside the park, enjoy a guided safari experience searching for lions, black and white rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and various antelope species. The park is also home to over 400 bird species, making it a great destination for bird lovers. You will explore different sections of the park, including open savannahs, riverine areas, and acacia bushlands, while enjoying views of Nairobi’s skyline in the background.

Your guide will provide insights about the wildlife, conservation efforts, and the park’s unique ecosystem. You may also stop at designated viewpoints for photography and short breaks.

After an enriching game drive experience, Next stop is the world famous David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage from 11am to 12pm to meet a herd of baby elephants and learn about the work done to rescue them from poachers. The orphanage successfully raises milk-dependent baby elephant and rhino orphans. During your hour there, the baby elephants will be brought out to play and feed as you watch them from behind a rope.

After the morning excitement, have lunch at a restaurant nearby for about an hour or two then you will visit the famous Karen Blixen Museum then wind up with the giraffe center to get up close and personal with Rothschild giraffes, Africa’s tallest mammals. Here you will ascend up to an observation platform where you can see giraffes at their eye level and later return to your hotel or airport.
